FUND RAISER/RESOURCE MOBILIZATION DIRECTOR

Job Title: Fund Raising Director

Nature of Duties:

  1. Creating, planning, implementation, management and oversight of all aspects related to fundraising for the organization.
  2. Identifying donor opportunities, develop donor database, respond to donor tenders and call for proposals, develop grant proposals, write appeals, represent the organization at donor meetings and undertake follow-up of potential funding
  3. Explore and develop strategies for long-term sustainability of the organization and its interventions.
  4. Develop business plans in consultation with other staff for possible generation of long-term incomes for the organization.
  5. Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization.
  6. Improve and develop communications material for the organization such as brochure, website, annual report, DVD, poster etc.
  7. Organize effective fundraising events for the organization
  8. Suggest and implement other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization
  9. Liaison with public and private agencies, the government and other organizations to explore potential collaborations for raising funds for the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  1. Substantial’ institutional and corporate fundraising experience.
  2. Substantial experience with preparing proposals for institutional donor agencies.
  3. Experience of donor compliance and report writing.
  4. Experience of managing corporate partnerships.
  5. Understanding of the corporate responsibility agenda.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  7. Networking and relationship building expertise.
  8. Strong research skills and the ability to identify opportunities to develop activities.
  9. The ability to manage a complex workload and deadlines.
  10. Strong administrative and computer skills (MS Office).
  11. Excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to work effectively in teams and across cultures.
  12. Understanding of sector trends, opportunities and challenges across India.

PROJECT DIRECTOR, VALUES BASED EDUCATION (VBE) PROJECT

Job Title: Project Director

Location: New Delhi

Reporting to: CEO

Nature of Duties:

  1. The Project Director will oversee all project activities related to Value Based Education (VBE) project.
  2. She/he will Fund Raise for the Project and various aspects related to smooth operation and execution of the Project.
  3. The Project Director will report to the CEO and ensure that project activities comply with the policies and regulations of FRNV and the donor organisations.
  4. The Project Director will be responsible for submitting activity reports, Minutes of the Meetings and Financial Report pertaining to the VBE project on a regular basis to the CEO and the Donor Organization.
  5. The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
  6. The Project Director will develop and define the benchmark for evaluating the success of the VBE project.
  7. The Project Director will ensure close collaboration with the partner organisations and hold meetings with various stakeholders.
  8. The Project Director will be expected to organise workshops/seminars and other activities related to Value Based Education, from time to time.
  9. The Project Director will employ resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring. She/he will trouble shoot project problems, if any and identify and implement creative solutions.
  10. The Project Director will work like a team member, and will involve youth and volunteers, wherever needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Masters Degree in Management/Social Sciences and substantial Project Direction experience.
  2. Substantial Project fundraising experience.
  3. Experience with preparing, writing and submitting proposals for institutional donor agencies and Corporates.
  4. Experience of donor compliance and report writing.
  5. Networking and relationship building abilities.
  6. Understanding of the corporate responsibility agenda.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi.
  8. Strong research skills and the ability to identify opportunities to develop activities.
  9. Highly developed analytical abilities to capture knowledge and best practice.
  10. The ability to manage a complex workload and deadlines.
  11. Strong administrative and computer skills (MS Office).

PROJECT OFFICER FOR SANITATION/HYGIENE PROJECT

Job Title: Project Officer

Nature of Duties:

  1. The Project Officer will be responsible for project management, budgeting and reporting and all initiatives as may be assigned by the Project Director.
  2. The Project Officer should be able to write Project Proposal for Funding purposes.
  3. The Project Officer will identify new potential partners, conduct pre-appraisal reviews, and prepare calendar of activities for the Sanitation/Hygiene project.
  4. Identify training needs and supporting capacity-building of partner and community organizations.
  5. Develop the project in a way to involve the youth and volunteers already involved with the organisation.
  6. Establish linkages and partnerships with other civil society organisations, academic institutions, community alliances and corporate houses to further the organisation’s vision.
  7. Provide content for Blogs, Facebook and write articles related to the Project for wider dissemination of the information related to the Sanitation/Hygiene project.
  8. Support campaign initiatives for the Project as may be required from time to time.
  9. Be responsible for any other emergent task that may be assigned by the organization.
  10. Will support the Project Director.

  2. Have at least 3-5 year’s experience of managing development projects, out of which minimum one year should have been with a grassroots development organization.
  3. Must have documentation skills.
  4. Must possess comprehensive understanding of the Sanitation/Hygiene project based on field experience.
  5. Have experience of working with vulnerable groups of the society.
  6. Have good communication and project proposal writing skills.
  7. Knowledge of English and Hindi is mandatory.
  8. Must be a good team player, gender sensitive, having conviction and skills for the empowerment of the poor and disadvantaged groups.
  9. Have proficiency in all applications of MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
  10. Must be willing to travel.

INTERNSHIP

Foundation for Restoration of National Values (FRNV) provides an opportunity to students and young research scholars to spend short as well as long duration to contribute and learn from the rich resources of FRNV on our key intervention areas. We accept students from law, political science, sociology, social work and other disciplines to intern with us. We encourage internship for a minimum period of one month/4 week.

Key Responsibilities

The interns are expected to assist the team of FRNV with ongoing projects, policy research, drafting reports and articles, web outreach and field visits depending on day to day requirements.

Remuneration

Interns are provided Certificate of Internship subject to satisfactory completion of the work assigned. Out of station travel, if required, during the course of the internship, is compensated separately.
