FRNV & SAGE Publications have released the Book
"Restoring Values: Keys to Integrity, Ethical Behaviour and Good Governance"
Edited by: Dr. E. Sreedharan and Sri Bharat Wakhlu

13th May 2010

This volume is a wake-up call to Indians to shape their country as an ethical nation. The articles in the compilation have been written by some of the most eminent thinkers and leaders of India, in various fields, all of whom are known for their commitment to living and working with integrity. It addresses the reasons for the absence of honest, ethical and transparent dealings in all sections of the society, including the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the government.

The articles present a credible and practical set of ideas and approaches to raise standards of integrity, ethical behaviour and governance in the institutions of our country. Some of the articles were presented at a two-day conclave organized by the Foundation of Restoration of National Values in New Delhi in November 2008. The compendium not only captures the essence of the conclave, but goes beyond it by providing a roadmap for initiatives that can be taken at the individual and collective levels to transform India into an upright nation—free from corruption, deception and opaqueness in decision making.        (Click here for further details).

Delhi Metro ties up with FRNV to announce 'Value Guide' programme:
22 Aug 2008

After 18,000 prosecutions by flying squads failed to show much of a visible change in behaviour of Delhi Metro users, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has tied up with the Foundation for Restoration of National Values (FRNV) with the aim of instilling better values and making passengers behave in a more disciplined manner. With Metros coming up in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Chandigarh – culture and values will be needed to make them succeed. Some of the values which require immediate attention are – offering seats to ladies and elderly, courtesy, avoiding loud talking, not damaging public property, cleanliness, honesty, etc. Towards achieving this objective, Delhi Metro has decided to align with FRNV to inspire its commuters, and through them the whole Nation, to uphold values. Towards achieving this objective, DMRC has launched a Value Guide programme where it will involve some of its commuters and work with them in spreading awareness about values and also restoring these values among its large base of 8 lakhs commuters.
